Search Toolbar

The Search Toolbar appears near the top of the application window and provides quick access to search and replace functions. It includes fields for entering a search term and a replacement text, along with buttons to help you navigate through results and control how the search is performed.

Search Field

Enter the text you wish to locate in this field. When you click one of the navigation buttons (down or up arrows), the editor will highlight the next or previous occurrence of the text.

When activated by pressing Ctrl+F shortcut, the Search field is initialized from the selected text.

Replace Field

Enter the text you want to substitute for the currently found instance of your search term. Use the replace buttons (R or A) to confirm how you want to perform the replacement.

When activated by pressing Ctrl+H shortcut, the Replace field is initialized from the selected text.

Toolbar Buttons

  • Down Arrow (↓)
    Shortcut: F3
    Finds and highlights the next occurrence of your search term.
  • Up Arrow (↑)
    Shortcut: Shift+F3
    Finds and highlights the previous occurrence of your search term.
  • C Toggles case-sensitive searching. When enabled, uppercase and lowercase letters must match exactly.
  • W Toggles whole-word matching. When enabled, the application only finds occurrences that match the entire word.
  • R Replaces the currently highlighted occurrence of your search term with the text specified in the Replace field, then moves to the next occurrence.
  • A Replaces all occurrences of your search term in the document with the text specified in the Replace field.
